Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 get a new feature in Auto Blocker with November 2024 security update
After the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Samsung has started rolling out the latest November 2024 security update for Galaxy S series devices, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 in the US. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 get a new feature in Auto Blocker with a November 2024 security update.
The latest November 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with firmware version S92xUSQS4AXJA. The update is available for locked models on Verizon and US cellular network carriers in the US. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are getting the new update with firmware version S911USQS5CXI8 and S92xU1UES4AXJA in both US-locked and unlocked versions.
The update file size for the Galaxy S24 series is around 500 GB, while the update size for the Galaxy S23 series is around 446.13 MB. Both phones have received the November 2024 security patch that fixes several security flaws in previous software versions.
Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 November 2024 update brings a new feature in the “Auto Blocker”
In addition to the common enhancements, the November 2024 patch for Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 provides enhanced security by adding a new feature in the Auto Blocker, which is located in the Security and Privacy Settings.
When enabled, “Auto Blocker” is turned on with “Maximum Restriction”, and USB devices will not be allowed to connect to this device except for charging.
This update is being rolled out for Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 models in the US. The company will soon make it available for all eligible devices.
