Galaxy S22 receives December 2024 patch in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the December 2024 patch update to the Galaxy S22 series. Initially, the company has served the demand in European units, but now it has started rolling out in the US.

Notably, the carrier-locked units of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are getting a new update with the firmware version number S90xUSQS7EXK9. More specifically, the devices are spotted getting new updates on the AT&T network and are expected to be expanded to more carriers in the next few days.

The December 2024 update for the Galaxy S22 series doesn’t bring any significant changes for the devices. The update is dedicatedly improving the overall security of the devices.

In some regions, the update has also introduced new changes under the Autoblocker, which will improve the security-related enhancements for the devices.
