Galaxy S22 starts receiving October 2024 update in the US
Samsung has started rolling out the October 2024 security patch to Galaxy S22 series devices in the US. For the base Galaxy S22, the October update comes with the new build version S901USQS6EXJ3. Galaxy S22 Plus owners can identify it with the version S906USQS6EXJ3. Meanwhile, S22 Ultra users can identify this update with the build version S908USQS6EXJ3.
According to the changelog, it does not include new features, but it may include fixes for some previous bugs. Furthermore, the October 2024 update for the Galaxy devices comes with fixes for over 40 security-related vulnerabilities. To keep your Android device protected from security breaches, you should install the latest Android security patches.
Currently, this latest security update for the Galaxy S22 is spotted on major network carriers, like T-Mobile. Other carrier-locked and unlocked models will also get the update soon.
