Samsung November 2024 security patch details

Today, Samsung published the details of the November 2024 security patch for its Galaxy devices on the Scope page. As usual, the information includes details on some of the security vulnerabilities that are fixed via this update.

The November 2024 security patch fixes 38 vulnerabilities discovered in Android that pose a risk on all devices running the OS. It also provides fixes for 13 vulnerabilities that exclusively affect Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The rollout of the November 2024 security patch for Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets began last month with the Galaxy Tab S7 FE and on November 4 with the Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy S23 series and expanded to cover more devices throughout the month.

The November 2024 security update will start rolling out to more eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets soon. Once the update becomes available for a device, it can be downloaded from its Settings << Software Update menu.

Samsung ends software update support for Galaxy A22e

Moreover, the Galaxy S2O FE will no longer receive monthly security updates. The company has moved Galaxy S20 FE from monthly updates to quarterly. Through the list, Samsung has officially announced the end of software update support for the Galaxy A22e.

The Samsung Galaxy A22e, scheduled to launch in 2022, has completed its update cycle as per company policy. This smartphone will no longer receive the latest security patch released in November 2024.
