How many updates remain for Galaxy S22 smartphones?

Samsung Galaxy S22 is one of the most talked smartphones in the market at its launch year. The device is often termed as the Note series killer, because it has brought the first Ultra model with the S Pen. With new updates it has brought new functionalities over the years. But now the device is bit older.

So here the main question arises? how many new updates will be available for the devices?

Samsung Galaxy S22 will get two more major updates

In 2022, Samsung has officially announced a new policy for its flagship smartphones that they will be eligible to get five years software support. More specifically, this policy contains four major updates and several security patch updates for five years.

The policy is applied on all the flagship level smartphones arrive after or in 2022. Due to this the Galaxy S22 was automatically eligible for the five-year update.

The 2022 flagship arrived with Android 12 out of the box, and following the traditional Android updates, now the Galaxy S22 is running on Android 14. It will get two more major updates till Android 16.

Is Galaxy S22 still worth buying?

The Galaxy S22 is equipped with the powerful Qualcomm snapdragon 8 Soc, which is still capable to handle all the heavy application smoothly. Specially the ultra-model is one of the top contender smartphones for purchases when it comes to pricing as it is now it is reasonably perfect in this segment with two years of major software support.
