Galaxy S21 FE October update is now live in the US and India

October 2024 patch for Galaxy S21 FE is now live in two regions. Carrier-locked models of the Fan Edition are receiving the October update in the US. And the same day, the update is also released for Indian users of the S21 FE.

Network-locked Galaxy S21 FE owners can identify the October update with build number G990USQSDGXJ4. It comes in a download package size of around 400 MB. Meanwhile, Indian users can recognize it with the build number G990EXXSBFXJ1. And Indian models are receiving the update in a download package size of 262.51 MB.

The October 2024 update does not bring any new features for the device, but it includes security patches to fix over 40 vulnerabilities. These latest monthly security patches improve device security. Aside from the patches, it also improves the system’s stability.

How you can download the October update for Galaxy S21 FE

Once the update is available in your region, a notification pop-up will appear. If notification does not appear on your device, you can check the latest update by navigating to Settings >> Software Update >> Tap on download and install.

Moreover, the fan edition of the Galaxy S21 is also eligible for the One UI 7 upgrade. Samsung is committed to offering 4 major upgrades to the S21 FE. However, the device has already received two major updates, and this will be its third.
