Amid One UI 7 beta, Galaxy S24 gets December 2024 update

Samsung is currently working to expand the next One UI 7 beta update to more Galaxy S24 models. Meanwhile, the company is also rolling out the December 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra phones in India.

Amid One UI 7 beta, Galaxy S24 gets December 2024 update

The December 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is currently live in India and the company has already rolled it out in several countries a few weeks ago. This update prepares your device for the next software, which could be the One UI 7 beta.

December 2024 security update for the Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra can be identified via the One UI build version S921BXXS4AXKA, S926BXXS4AXKA, and S928BXXS4AXKA respectively.

The December 2024 security patch fixes more than 40 security vulnerabilities. Of these, Google has fixed 6 critical vulnerabilities and 28 high-level vulnerabilities in this update. Apart from this, there is also 1 problem that was fixed in a previous update and another issue that does not apply to Galaxy devices.

Samsung has also provided 8 patches under its Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items mainly related to the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode. In addition, the company has also addressed 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products with these fixes.

Samsung is expected to release the One UI 7 beta 3 update for the Galaxy S24 series soon so that more users can enjoy the best features and provide feedback. The One UI 7 beta is currently available for the Galaxy S24 series in limited countries, however, other Galaxy devices may not get it.

According to a recent rumor, the company may release a stable update directly for devices like the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22. This stable update may come to all eligible Galaxy S flagships in February, starting with the Galaxy S24 lineup.
