OnePlus 13 Software update policy Major Android and Monthly Security Patch

The new smartphone, the OnePlus 13 will launch globally including in India on January 07 as the company’s flagship product with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. It is one of the latest handsets that get the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and Android 15 version. OnePlus always keeps a simple software update policy for its devices, and the OnePlus 13 adopts the same pattern as it followed up.

How Many Software Updates Will OnePlus 13 Get?

OnePlus 13 may get five years of Android upgrades and six years of monthly security patches. These devices are known as better cameras, software, and hardware. It has received maximum updates for only five years.

OnePlus believes that If any smartphone gets seven years of software updates, it does not affect as much because many hardware systems of smartphones get damaged after three or four years, and almost all users change their device after 3 or 5 years.

Besides it, the OnePlus 13 will come with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 in India and globally, as follow the software update policy, it will receive OxygenOS 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 as well till 2029 and the security patch will extend for 2030.
