One UI 7 to Have a Drawback for Samsung Devices by Rollout to Selected Flagship Models
The latest leak on One UI 7 suggests that the upcoming Android 15-based update may not reach out to other Galaxy phones than the Galaxy S24 series. There isn’t anything more satisfying than seeing Samsung suffer the consequences of releasing One UI 7 Beta for Galaxy owners. The beta was very late, although what it offers is very good. And now, with millions of additional users eagerly anticipating the installation of the beta version in the following weeks, they might be let down.
One UI 7 Beta Limited Rollout
According to the post from @familytaes on X, “24 series One UI 7 beta 3 will release between the 30th and the 6th (can be ± 2 days). After beta 3, there’d be 2–3 more betas at the most, which gives it the name of a beta. S23/22/21/A series will not have any beta program.” The brighter side is that the stable release seems to be under plan for the most part. “Stable rollout schedule will be announced at unpacked, 22nd Jan (most probably in the second week of February).”
Android Authority shared this new One UI 7 beta rumor as the bad news here to spoil your Christmas. If correct, then this is the most unusual One UI beta program Samsung has ever conjured up. They also will not be pleased that there is no beta software for older Galaxy flagships. Now Samsung is finally only starting the Android 15 update.
Tipster Tarun Vats has been identifying internal One UI 7 test builds for older Samsung flagships, which could mean that Samsung may still release beta software for other Galaxy phones.
When One UI 7 does arrive for your phone, whether as a beta or in the stable build, which is due alongside the Galaxy S25 in a few weeks, it will be transformative for your phone. Although Samsung was quite severely criticized for the delays, it does look like it was worth the wait. You should acquaint yourself with the Android security and privacy statements by Samsung and Google each time you install.
